OMG NEWS!

I haven't done an OMG NEWS post since May, since the final news about Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters casting news. The latest VA related news are these promo pics my friend informed me about. I was a bit scared when I clicked on the link but when I saw them I first squealed and them flailed for a couple of minutes scrolling up and down.

What do we have here? Rose and her infamous black dress and the necklace is there too. *dies* Lucy looks pretty as Lissa and Sarah is giving me mayor Lane Kim from Gilmore Girls feels. After the initial shock of finally getting a glimpse at my favorite character I wouldn't help but laughed at loud at the students in the background. 

Zoey is so pretty. She looks just like Rose! I might die. Again! 

Anyone who thought Danila was a bad choice for Dimitri can eat heir hearts out. This Russian God! I  think when the time comes I finally get to see this movie I will be worse than those Twilight fangirls at New Moon premiere. Gah! I have so many feelings. I don't know where to start. My God! Danila's hair and Rose being all defiant. haha I love them so much. My babies. 

From what I've heard the teaser trailer is coming out this weeks so I'll post it here too. duh! Now I need some Christian promo pics.

OMG NEWS!

This is the best news ever! I was freaking out when I saw the casting. Last night we finally have the rest of the Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters.
Dominic Sherwood is going to be Christian Ozera. My baby! I love him more than Adrian. I'm so happy with the actor they chose.  Sarah Hyland from Modern Family got the part of Natalie. Queen Tatiana is the ageless beauty, Joely Richardson and Gabriel Byrne is the 'noble' Victor. 

Another news is that Eddie won't appear till Frostbite. It sucks but they know their stuff.

They seem like they're having fun and out Zoey is in top shape. Her hair is a little darker. It's happening people! It's almost time! Just a few days and they start filming. 

OMG NEWS!

I'm so glad this is finally happening. Here are the new casting news for Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters. 

Cameron Monaghan, from Shameless is going to play our beloved Mason. Sami Gayle, from Blue Bloods and Detachment (I love this movie!) is the mean girl Mia. Ashley Charles as Jesse and Claire Foy as Sonya Karp. 

There's still no word about Christian casting. Come on! I need to know who is going to play him. He's one of my favorite characters. They start filming May 27th. 

What do you think about the casting? I'm actually really glad with everyone they chose. Hope the movie does well. It would break my heart to see it fail since I've been a massive fan for years now. 

OMG NEWS!

I case you still haven't heard, Vampire Academy adaptation has cast three leading characters.

Zoey Deutch got the part of Rose Hathaway, my favorite heroine. Since I watch almost every CW show I've seen her in Ringer. She definitely had some spunk so I'm sure she'll do great as Rose. Her most recent role is another adaptation of YA novel - Beautiful Creatures. Lucy Fry is going to play Princess Vasilisa "Lissa" Dragomir. She is from Australia and she appeared in their TV series Lightning Point. And finally, Danila Kozlovsky is going to play Dimitri Belikov. I can't express how glad I am that a Russian actor got his part and not some American/British dude trying to pull of an accent.

I can't wait to hear who will get the part of Christian Ozera since he is like my lost soul mate.

Title will have a small change. Instead Vampire Academy we will get Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters which I think is a great idea, since we have 6 books and the first one doesn't have a distinctive title. Filming will start this summer so for now Zoey is going to train her ass of. Ahhh...I'm picturing here right now, running with Dimka. :D

What do you guys think of the casting? Approve? Or do you hate them? A lot of people are upset but I'm glad it's finally moving along and I'm not judging actors because we still haven't seen them in their roles.

OMG NEWS!

I'd like to introduce you all to OMG NEWS!

Now from the name in itself , you can easily make out that this is basically a random news update about things related to books that make your jaws drop and just well , Oh my god.

So I won't waste anymore time and I'll just let you know what I wanted to tell you all about! So like a random person I was surfing the net like an idiot when I came to know about this!

WE NOW HAVE A LEADING LADY FOR THE DIVERGENT MOVIE!!!

You all remember Divergent , don't you? 

Yes..yes...the dystopian book which consisted of a city run according to a system where the society was divided into factions and our main protagonist Tris , is a badass female and she transfers from her faction to another faction and falls in love with this guy and it just so happens that she is a badass divergent. Which basically means , that she has can't just belong to one faction.

And now , we know whose going to play Tris in the movie!!!!

Shailene Woodley , the actress who played George Clooney's daughter in The Descendants has been cast as Beatrice 'Tris' Prior for the movie!

I'm not sure how I feel , about her being cast as Tris but I don't usually question the choices of people who make the movie and I feel that she's going to do a great job! 

As for 'Four'..According to my online stalking , apparently the search has been narrowed down to four men..
I'm not sure about Brenton and Jack but I can totally picture Lucas and Luke as Tobias but if you were to match both the men with Shailene , then I think Luke is the guy to nab.

review:So my reasons might come across as totally idiotic..and this review itself could be the most idiotic thing you read , so if you chose to ignore this review..I understand.
I've never been a fan of Ms.Stephanie Meyer. I have read Twilight and I didn't hate it. To some extent , it was actually quite nice. But after that , I didn't really care about the other books much and made no efforts.

So why did I choose to read The Host?

Because...



OMG. Oh my fucking god.
Doesn't that cover just call out to you. Look at those men nice looking people.

So I was on youtube a few months ago , doing my own usual jobless thing when I came across the trailer of this book. I knew that such a book existed but like I've mentioned earlier , I simply hadn't cared about them. After the trailer , I knew I had to have it. 

I am , in the end , a romantic. So help me , if I wanted this book. 
Also many claimed that this book was much much much better than Twilight. So I borrowed this one from one of my friends.

I have to be honest. This book was just okay.
Like seriously okay. Maybe a tad worse than okay.
My initial rating had been just 2 stars but I chose to give it an extra one because of the upcoming movie and it's influence on me. (I know. Go ahead , call me stupid. I won't mind.)
Also there have been books much worse than this one here , so it's only fair to award it three stars.

I'd like to divide my review into sections. 

Section 1.

Meeting Wanda and Melanie.

So basically , Earth has been invaded by aliens. These aliens go by the term 'Souls'. The working of these souls is a tad nonsensical. I get the point the author has tried to made. I get what the story is all about but I just don't see how it makes sense. It's like the time I read Divergent. I got what the author was trying to tell me. I saw where the story was going but the whole concept didn't really make sense to me. Like why where there such factions? What was the point of the whole thing. Here atleast , we saw why the souls decided to invade earth. But as sacrificial and amazing their whole 'humans are a deadly species and that they have emotions they can't control and that they are their own destruction' reason sounds , I feel that , them in itself trying to forcefully exert their own theories and 'peacefulness' among the masses is nothing less than tragic hypocrisy. So this my friends , is flaw no. 1.
Anyhow , the story starts with our introduction to the soul Wanderer who awakens in the body of a young girl who tried to attempt suicide but was saved by the healers (doctors) of the soul community. As Wanderer is on her way in getting used to her new body , she is surprised to find that the human girl hasn't left the control of her mind and still exists. This girl is Melanie Stryder , a seventeen year old rebel who now starts to force memories of her life on Wanderer. Through her memories Wanderer gets to know about the various people in Melanie's life. Through her memories , Wanderer starts to see the way Melanie loved her loved ones and falls in love with them too. More specifically , Melanie's love of life Jared and Melanie's brother Jamie. With all the memories-love-fest overpowering her own intelligence , Wanderer sets off to find the love of Melanie's life. Oh and Melanie's brother too.

Section 2.

When she meets them.

You have no idea how much I hated Jared.

Section 3.

We meet Ian and his sweet side.

Oh and people start to call her 'Wanda'. I have nothing against names but this name is just awkward.
There would be serious moments where Wanda and another character would be having a serious conversation and then the other character would just go ahead and say , 'Wanda this..' and 'Wanda that..' and the whole seriousness would fly away into thin air right before my eyes.

Also Ian and Jamie are the only people I like in the whole book.

Section 4.

Jared is a bastard.

Section 5

The end was very cheesy. That last chapter was a total cringe-magnet.

This book is relatively huge. I wouldn't have minded if they would have cut down on the length. I found myself skimming pages because there were so many unnecessary and even boring parts.As for the story , like I said , it was CRINGEY.
The role of the villain (if that character was even a villain) was so non-existent. It felt as if that character was created just for the sake of having some 'action' in the book which may I say , also was non-existent. And this along with it's long boringness makes flaw no.2 and 3.
Now that I think about it. WHAT WAS EVEN THERE IN THE BOOK APART FROM THE PIG-HEADED LOVE STORY WHICH I FELT NO LOVE FOR?

And after this , I decide to reduce my ratings to 2 out of 5 stars.

So would I recommend this book to you?
Nope I wouldn't. For reasons that you shouldn't waste your time and delve into something that , you know , is more worthwhile. If you're bored to death , then sure go ahead. The movie isn't out yet and the movie was the reason why I decided to read this book , but after reading the book , I know in my heart that the movie would be much better than the reading experience because there won't be periods that would bore you and you won't care about the pointlessness of the whole scenario because the guys are hot. Smart movie people.

So I saw Saorise Ronan for the first time in The Lovely Bones and she did a great job! Although at that time I never cared much about how she looked but now..Damn isn't she a looker. I had loved her acting and I know for sure that even if this movie poops as a movie , her part in it would be up to the mark. I can imagine her perfectly as Wanda and Melanie.



Consider me dead.

Have to say , Jared was the worst character in the whole book for me. But with a face like that...
I saw him act first in the Red Riding Hood and well , Let's just say my reaction was something close to shooting-of-the-bed types when I saw him playing Jared.



So  even if the movie is an epic fail...I know that I'm not going to hate it.
Hell , Jake Abel who plays Ian is a total bomb.
And let me just say, Ian was my favourite character.

I saw Jake Abel for the first time in Percy Jackson. While people loooved Logan Lerman , I always loved Abel. I get all the chocolate gooeyness that Lerman was , but I like me some bad guy.
And hah! Just look at him.
I AM SO GOING TO WATCH THIS MOVIE.

One of the other things , I feel , is cool that you can totally see how The Seeker's character is going to be so much more present. I can totally imagine Kruger play the badass role of a villain.


So as you see , I'm really excited and am totally geared up for the movie!
It releases on march 29th.
I'm on for it. What about you?
